Frangrance changed

The scent on cold sniff was good, but the scent changed to a weird smell when burning.

Really good, but I get a "green" note

My first burn of Raspberry Jam, and I actually like this one. I watched Melanie's (Mr. Kong's Mom) review yesterday and I do agree that when burning, this one definitely has a "green" note to it, which isn't listed in the scent notes. That said, my nose still picks up on the fruity, sweet scent that I get on cold. To my nose, the green note is definitely there (and I would prefer that it wasn't) but it doesn't ruin the candle for me. Probably not a repurchase for me, but I'll enjoy this one for what it is. Oh, by the way, the strength and throw was great. I'd give an 8 out of 10 on that score.

Not what I was expecting

If you are expecting a juicy, fruity raspberry scent, this is not it. I don’t get any floral, as a previous reviewer mentioned, but instead get a not-quite burnt sugar note mixed with a light, indistinguishable red berry scent. It’s not a bad scent, just not what I was expecting. It’s grown on me the more I have burnt it and I enjoy it. The strength of this one isn’t super strong, I would say a med-low, but it is adequate. It reminds me of Homeworx’s Wildberry Vanilla Bean, although I prefer the Kringle version and love the clean burn.

Not fruity

To be more accurate, this review was written after more than halfway through this candle. As a fruit enthusiast, I have been searching for an authentic raspberry fragrance. Unfortunately, this scent doesn’t smell like raspberry nor any fruit, to my nose. During all burns, the aroma was spicy peppers, specifically jalapeño. I poured this out more than halfway through since there was no raspberry scent during any of the burn times. Interestingly, I got a note a few times that was reminiscent of raspberry or strawberry leaves. The throw is medium high, clean burn, and no sooting. The jar’s painted design is fine. I don’t care for the tin lid as it doesn’t seem to match the jar design. I picked up 8 of the 12 fruit 3 wicks in this collection, so I’m hoping for a good fruit scent in the bunch.
